Wang Zhelin () is a Chinese basketball player who currently plays for Fujian Sturgeons in the Chinese Basketball Association. Wang is considered one of the most potentially-talented players from China.
==CBA career==
Wang Zhelin first gained recognition when he was first selected to the Chinese national basketball team's preliminary squad for the 2012 Summer Olympics in March 2012, but he failed to make the final twelve-man squad. However, in April 2012, Wang was chosen to play at the Nike Hoop Summit and he impressed many by scoring 19 points, 8 rebounds, and blocking two shots in an 84-75 victory against the U.S. men's junior select team. This was the best performance by any Chinese basketball player in the Nike Hoop Summit ever since the invitational competition started.
After impressing for the Chinese youth national teams at various tournaments and at the Nike Hoop Summit, Wang then signed his first professional contract with Chinese Basketball Association side Fujian Sturgeons in June 2012 for the 2012-13 season. Wang had a terrific first season as he averaged 20.3 points per game and 12.9 rebounds per game, becoming a key player for Fujian.
